Anfora One Year Edge Chip Warranty
What this warranty covers
For one year from the date of the original Anfora invoice, Anfora will replace any round plate, oval plate, round bowl, oval bowl, round cup or saucer that develops edge chipping during ordinary commercial foodservice operation, provided the piece:
- Was manufactured at our factory in Mineral de la Reforma, Hidalgo, Mexico;
- Appears on the Anfora Warranted Product List in effect on the date the original order was invoiced;
- Was used at the operating location stated on the warranty registration; and
- Was used in line with the handling and care guidelines published for the product (including thermal-range, dishwashing, stack-height and storage guidance).
For purposes of this warranty, edge chipping means small fractures or material loss along the rim or edge of a piece. It does not include cracks, breaks across the body, glaze defects, surface wear, or impact damage.

Who can claim
This warranty is for B2B foodservice operators only — restaurants, hotels, catering businesses, contract foodservice operations and similar commercial users.
It runs to the original purchaser identified on the warranty registration, at the operating location identified there. Top-up orders for the same operation, placed during the warranty period, are covered for the unexpired remainder of that period — they do not start a fresh year.
The warranty does not extend to retail buyers, household or personal use, or to operators other than the one who registered.
Registration
To activate the warranty, return the Edge Chip Warranty Registration Form to Anfora within 60 days of the original invoice date — by email to info@anfora.com or through your Anfora distributor or sales contact. Anfora will reply with an email confirmation; please keep that confirmation as your warranty record.
If the form is not returned within 60 days, the warranty does not apply to that order.
What this warranty does not cover
This warranty covers edge chipping only. It does not cover:
- Cracks, fractures, breakage or any damage other than edge chipping;
- Damage from drops, blows, accidents or mishandling;
- Damage from use beyond the product's published specifications — including oven or microwave use where the piece is not rated for that use, cleaning with metal scourers or abrasive chemicals, and stacking above published heights;
- Cosmetic wear, scratching, glaze crazing or fading from normal use;
- Damage caused by decoration, reglazing or repair carried out by anyone other than Anfora;
- Damage occurring in transit (handled separately under our shipping terms);
- Items that are not, or are no longer, on the Anfora Warranted Product List;
- Discontinued items where Anfora is unable to offer an equivalent replacement;
- Damage caused by events outside Anfora's reasonable control.
How to make a claim
- Tell us within 60 days of identifying the chipping. Contact your Anfora distributor or sales contact, or Anfora directly at info@anfora.com or +52 771 716 3100.
- Send us the details we ask for: your warranty registration reference, photographs of the affected pieces, the approximate quantity, and the operating location.
- Keep the chipped pieces until the claim is closed. We may ask you to ship a representative sample for inspection — Anfora pays return shipping on samples we request.
- Site inspection may apply for larger claims; we will let you know in advance if it does.
- We assess and respond. Anfora reviews each claim on the basis of the information provided and any inspection, and communicates a decision in writing.
- We replace. If the claim is approved, Anfora ships like-for-like replacements within 4 to 6 weeks, or an equivalent SKU agreed with you if the original has been discontinued. Anfora pays standard ground freight on approved replacements.
Limits and applicable law
Replacement of the affected pieces is the only remedy available under this warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anfora is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, business interruption or loss of goodwill — arising in connection with covered or claimed defects. Nothing in this warranty limits any right that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
This warranty is additional to the Anfora Terms and Conditions of Use and to any separate written supply or distribution agreement between Anfora and the customer. If those documents conflict with this warranty, the supply or distribution agreement prevails first, then the Terms and Conditions of Use, then this warranty.
This warranty is governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. The competent federal courts seated in Pachuca de Soto, Hidalgo, Mexico have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under it.

Anfora may update the Anfora Warranted Product List and the terms of this warranty for new orders. Warranties already registered remain governed by the terms in effect on the date of registration.
