About Anfora
Anfora was founded in 1920 by five Germans in Mexico City to manufacture high-quality tableware. In 1995, it moved to the city of Pachuca, where more than 1,000 people operate a renovated factory with over 75,000 square meters of manufacturing space. Annual production exceeds 7.5 million pieces. We use the best German kiln technology and machinery, and fire our items at over 1,280 degrees Celsius (100% food-service grade). We focus on quality (impact resistance), design (adaptability), and service (delivery times and stock availability). We export more than 60% of our production to chains such as Ace Mart, PF Chang's, and Buca di Beppo. The group of companies includes our subsidiary IMCOSA, which imports products such as stainless steel cutlery from Asia and Europe.
Faced with low-quality imports from China for household use, Anfora has focused on the institutional market segment, where durability and delivery time are critical. Our kilns are configured for high-temperature in-glaze decoration. We can apply logos, edges, and glazes starting from 600 pieces. Our product is vitreous china, which means zero water and bacterial absorption, as well as high impact resistance. Our shape families exceed 500 designs, including market bestsellers, as well as square, rolled edge, coupe, and soft square shapes. Our handcrafted glazes are also an excellent choice for the Farm-to-Table trend. Our industrial design and mold development team creates custom and unique shapes and designs (colors and patterns). The decoration options are endless, with different colors and applications: gold, platinum, matte, solid, and custom finishes.
We attend major design fairs such as Ambiente (Frankfurt) and Design Week (Milan) to present emerging trends.
